The FAWI (Family-Centered, AI-Enabled Workforce Innovator) model brings together education, families, and community partners to create clear, connected pathways to opportunity.
At its core, the model starts with families and students—recognizing their strengths, goals, and lived experiences as the foundation for success. Through co-design and real-time alignment, institutions like UTRGV and AVE Frontera work alongside community partners to ensure programs, resources, and opportunities are relevant and responsive.
As families become more engaged, informed, and activated, they connect into broader community networks that support education, workforce development, and career advancement.
The result is a system of aligned talent pathways—where students and families can move more easily from education into meaningful careers, and where partners collaborate to meet real regional needs.
